Over the Summer I worked with the Technical crew at the New Alexandra Theatre for their annual Stage Experience Production which this year was Boogie Nights. I spent two weeks in Birmingham overseeing the whole process in putting on a full scale production of a show and learnt many different technical things. During the show run which was from the 22nd-25th August I was a lighting board operator so throughout whats known as the “Get In”, I worked a long side the productions Lighting Designer Colin Wood.

As part of our Final Major Project TV show, a Worcestershire band known as ‘Grafton Ash’ came into the college last week on Monday (14th May) to perform for us a live set and participated in a short interview with college student, Meg Crossley. The band recently supported the legendary James Blunt at the Birmingham Arena in November 2017, after the scheduled supporting act dropped out. The band performed their latest EP ‘Existing’ as well as ‘The War’ during their appearance at the college. It was an absolute thrill to have them with us.
